What We Can Do for Your Child
Our diverse programs at Amigos de Palo Alto are designed with your child’s growth in mind. Here’s what we offer:
- Parent Participation Preschool
Spanish Immersion Preschool program is designed for children who do not yet understand or speak Spanish. Our Spanish preschool in California provides an opportunity for children to learn Spanish through the experiences presented in a typical childhood curriculum which is developmentally appropriate.
Our program is highly interactive and uses music, art, and cultural expression to enhance learning. Activities include reading, writing, arts and crafts, cooking, and sports. Parent participation is required once every 5 weeks. If you are unable to participate, someone from your family may participate in your stead (Significant other, brother, sister, grandparents, etc.). If you are truly unable to participate, the option to buy out participation is also available.
The program is for children ages 2 years and up by September of current school year. There is no need for a child to be potty trained.
- Young Fives Program
Our Young Fives Program is designed to prepare children with late birthdays for Kindergarten. The curriculum is a little more advanced than that of the regular preschool program so that the Young Fives can continue to feel challenged while they learn.
- Summer Camp
Amigos de Palo Alto will offer a variety of summer camps for your child to attend. Many of the children who are with us during the year will attend one of our camps. Our camps are open to anyone, not just Amigos de Palo Alto children. Below is a list of our summer camp offerings. Please inquire for details if you have any questions. - Summer Preschool: Open to all children ages 2 1/2 to 5. This program is a continuation of our preschool program but is available to all children, not just those who previously attended Amigos de Palo Alto.
